How Important is Calcium To Our Well-Being?

Why do so many people have broken hips, weak bones and joint problems ?.

Our bones are becoming more and more dense, Why?

Just taking Calcium alone is only part of the solution.  You must take the proper Calcium supplement formula.

Magnesium

When taking a Calcium supplement, it is critical that you also take it with magnesium.  The only way calcium can be absorbed into your bloodstream is if magnesium is present.  Also it must be in an acidic environment.  This is why Calcium, in tablet form along with an antacid, will not be absorbed into your system to give you optimal results. 

Vitamin D

You need normal levels of vitamin D to absorb calcium.  Vitamin D is often referred to as the "sunshine vitamin" because it is manufactured by the body after being exposed to the sun.  Ten to fifteen minutes of sunshine three times a week is good enough to produce the body's requirement of vitamin D.  If you're without daily sunlight exposure, you can get vitamin D in food or supplements.  This is why it is important to make sure when taking a calcium supplement it should contain vitamin D

By not getting enough calcium into your system your body will actually extract calcium from your bones for other bodily needs therefore damaging your bones.

So when looking for a Calcium product, to insure the best absorption, it must be in an ionic form, combined in the right structure, and be taken with vitamin D and magnesium to make it a very effective and beneficial calcium supplement.
