If you are serious about losing weight here are some very basic rules you must follow... if you want to lose fat permanently whilst
improving your overall health in the process.

Rule # 1: Remove the urgency to lose weight. Any short term weight loss will be just that…short term! Don't be fooled by all the
products with glowing testimonials showing how customers lost 40lbs in 30 days etc, etc. This is not typical and most of them are
not true and if they were they would be meaningless unless those people are reviewed 12 - 24 months later.
You cannot have a high level of rapid weight loss without putting enormous strain on your organs and body in general. Be
satisfied with 1 - 2 pounds per week. That's 50 - 100 lbs a year. This is a safer and much more sustainable protocol in the long

Remember, you took a long time to put it on... and it takes a while to get it off if you want it removed... permanently! So, be patient,
and don't waste your money trying short term fixes because you are trying to get ready for the summer! At the end of the day you
will end up worse off than you were before you started. Quick fixes do not work.

Rule # 2: Accept and understand that in order to lose weight healthily you have to eat less overall. You need to eat more of the
correct type of food and less of the wrong food. You also need to have some exercise if you currently don't do any. This does
NOT equate to starving yourself or running marathons.
Start substituting 'natural' saturated fats for the very dangerous
Transfats and Hydrogenated fats which are used in most
processed foods and cookies etc, and in low cholesterol type foods. Foods such as eggs that have natural cholesterol have
minimal impact on your cholesterol levels in spite of what the media and mainstream medicine tell you. Manufactured low fat and
low cholesterol foods are very unhealthy because of the hydrogenated fats that they contain. In the case of cholesterol the impact
is minimal as 80% of your cholesterol is manufactured by your liver and does not come from dietary cholesterol.
Reduce your carbohydrate intake and in particular sugar and sweetened foods which upset your insulin balance. Insulin
imbalance is the main reason why your body does not effectively metabolize fat but stores it instead.

Rule # 3: Eat with your brain! As stated earlier this is where optimum weight begins and ends. Most people lack adequate
nourishment to the brain because only selected nutrients can cross the blood-brain barrier. It is now thought by many that this is
the key to sustained successful weight loss. Only when you have a feeling of well being, increased energy and can reduce or
eliminate food cravings will you ever successfully lose weight and keep it off.
